Home Prices Continue to Soar in Mecklenburg County
The average home sales price in Mecklenburg County in April 2007 was $167,500 that number has jumped to $225,000 in April of 2017. That is an increase of 34.3% over a ten year span. However, the average home sales price is more a story of two halves. April 2007 to April 2012 saw a slight decrease of$12,500 or 7.5% showing the strong affects that the recession had on our local real estate market. Coming out of the recession Mecklenburg County is currently riding a very strong wave that has seen average home prices increase $70,000 or 45.2% over a five year span. The average home price is expected to continue to increase with a shortage of homes on the market, influx of new people moving to Mecklenburg and a strong economy.
